Can I Get Green Card If I Buy House in USA?

A frequently asked question is whether buying a property in the US brings you the long-awaited Green Card (permanent residency visa in the US). Like DV lottery 2022 does it bring you any immigration benefits? The answer is no. Buying a property in the US does not bring any immigration benefits. The immigration issue is an independent area. Other factors are taken into account for American authorities to grant residency on American soil.

An investor who buys a home in Orlando or elsewhere in the USA can enjoy the property while on American soil for a tourist visa, work visa, work, or any other reason. The Green Card (permanent resident visa) is a much more complex type of visa to obtain. The American authorities issue this visa only in special and limited circumstances, and even so, through substantial bureaucratic green card processes.

What is Green Card?

The Green Card is also what people call DV lottery 2022. It is not issued in the green today. The official name of the residence visa is “The United States Permanent Residence Card.”

Green Card Advantages

The biggest advantage of the Green Card, which is entitled to DV lottery 2022, over other American visas is that it is permanent and does not limit the activities of immigrants in the country. The person can legally work, read, travel (enter and exit the US) and perform virtually any action of an American citizen without any hindrance. We say "almost all" because some special rights of an American citizen, such as the right to vote, are not guaranteed by the Green Card.

All other American visas have limitations. For example, a student visa allows a person to study only on American soil. In this case, the student can stay in the USA for the duration of the course, but cannot use other rights such as work. To work, a specific work visa is required.

Ways to Get a Green Card?

There are several ways to get a Green Card. You have to be a suitable candidate for the green card. We'll talk about a few below. However, if this is your goal (to get a Green Card), we recommend that you seek an immigration lawyer in the USA.

1 - Receive the Green Card in relation to an American citizen

If you have a relative with an American citizen, that person may sponsor a residency visa for you. This is one of the fastest ways. Ideally, you should be a first-degree relative. The closer the relationship, the better.

2 - Marry an American

You can apply for a Green Card if you are married to an American. In this case, it is a fast process.

3 - Green Card with Lottery

There is still a lottery in the US that issues permanent residency visas to a limited number of foreigners each year. This is called DV lottery 2022. However, countries with a large number of immigrants in the USA are not included in this program.
